Installer: run it → installs per user, no administrator rights needed; the shortcut appears on your desktop. On Windows ARM devices the x64 version runs automatically through emulation.
⚠️ Blue warning “Windows protected your PC”? If it appears: Microsoft Defender SmartScreen does not yet know new apps. Abalso Backup is validly signed and safe — the warning disappears as more people download the app. Here is how to start it anyway:

Click the link “More info” (in the warning, near the top). Windows 10 and Windows 11 are identical here — the link is in the same place.

Only then does the “Run anyway” button appear at the bottom — click it. Done, the installation starts.
